Where do the pictures from my website come from?

Internet users today are heavily media focused, meaning that they much prefer to look at pictures and videos rather than read through paragraphs of text. And your pictures can come from a few different places.

Most businesses choose to use their own pictures including logos, staff pictures to go along with their profiles, pictures of their building or office, and of the products or services they offer, to name just a few. It’s important to use quality pictures, as the better the quality, the more professional-looking the website will be.

You don’t need to hire a professional photographer, although many businesses do and it’s not a bad idea; but do make sure that the pictures are clear, focused and that they are of the highest quality possible. This doesn’t mean that all of your photos have to be formal, pictures from staff events or images that show your fun side work just as well, and in some cases even better.

But you don’t even need to take your own pictures if you don’t want to. If you’re using a web designer, they may bring with them stock photos that they have the copyright to and that they’re allowed to use. And if you’re not using a web designer (or you are but they don’t have the appropriate pictures,) you can use any one of these sites:
