McKissack McKissack is an outgrowth of the oldest minority-owned architecture/engineering firm in the United States. The firm that exists today was founded in 1990 by Deryl McKissack, representing the fifth generation of engineers carrying the namesake, and a history that dates back to before the Civil War. McKissack McKissack came to BrandingBusiness looking to position and promote the brand as a national firm – defining its unique value proposition to both the public and private sectors and seeking to attract top talent in order to promote future growth.
A PROMISE TO POWER GROWTH
We underwent a rigorous research, positioning, and creative development process to focus on their core purpose: Powering Landmark Achievements. Understanding the complex array of design, business, engineering and architectural factors that go into each project, McKissack McKissack’s specialized design and management capabilities provide the power behind its clients’ achievements.
A NEW CHAPTER IN THE FIRM’S HISTORY
BrandingBusiness helped McKissack McKissack prepare for an announcement of the brand, internally and externally, through a rigorous introduction planning process. Designing a dynamic corporate identity, the new website, training materials, collateral system, and business templates, we also equipped them with the critical touch points to successfully communicate the new brand promise. The rejuvenated brand was launched in association with the opening of the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC – a project managed in part by the team at McKissack McKissack.
